Theme Thursday for January 31, 2013 - CHOCOLATE

This week's new theme is CHOCOLATE!

What can I say?
Chocolate is the most important food on the pyramid.
I think we all know that to be true.
It is our most important ingredient that provides variety,
which is an important spice of life.
This makes chocolate a spice!
I love my sense of reasoning, don't you?

I also love to listen to the wee wittle ones say the word chocolate.
I notice that when I say it I somehow just say choklit,
almost like chalk lit.
While the wee wittle ones actually pronounce each syllable.
They almost sound like they are speaking "French",
but then they are bilingual and speak Spanish.
It is amazing to watch them switch from English to Spanish
as if it is the easiest thing to do.

Having once been able to speak Spanish I do understand
a lot of what they say but not all.
I was lucky in a way because my grandparents all learned English,
the wee wittle ones are now lucky because a grandmother did not.

Anyway, I just wish you could hear them say the word chocolate.
It sounds like music and just flows off their tongues.
Just the most beautiful word one could hear,
or eat.

So what do you think about Chocolate?
Do you like dark chocolate or milk chocolate?
Or just about any kind of chocolate?
Maybe you are one of the few people in the world who dislike chocolate!
Although I am not sure how anyone can dislike chocolate.

Theme Thursday for January 24, 2013 - RHYTHM

RHYTHM

This weeks new theme is RHYTHM!

I really hate to interrupt our bug theme,

 but sometimes one has to change the rhythm.

And I guess I will have to get back to the bug theme another time.

Yikes, I hate when another song comes into my head

whenever I post a new theme.

But it is as if the rhythm is going to get me,

Oh no the rhythm is going to get me.

Arg, it got me.

It keeps playing in my head, that one line.

So with that, I hope to see you 

here on Thursday

with what rhythm got you.

Theme Thursday for January 17, 2013 - SPIDERS

SPIDERS

This weeks new theme is SPIDERS!

What can I say?

I had to do it.

I had to just go with the flow

and the flow is to spiders.

And I know in a few months my house will be invaded

by spiders.

Big spiders, little spiders, brown spiders, orange spiders,

lots and lots of spiders.

Spiders everywhere.

I guess I need to look up and see if there 

are any natural remedies to get rid of them.

Oh please give me back the ants.

I hate spiders.

What about you, how do you feel about spiders?

Do you have a lot of them?

Do you have a big variety?

Theme Thursday for January 10, 2013 - ANTS

ANTS

This weeks new theme is ANTS!

They are pesky little buggers.

And no matter how hard you try to get rid of them,

they just keep coming back.

Do you think they are nature's "Stalkers"?

These ants are crawling all over my bathtub right now.

I cannot spray bug spray,

so I am trying a natural remedy.

Honey mixed with some water and Borax.

I have dipped these cotton balls into the mixture,

placed them where the ants are congregating,

and see what happens.

They circle the cotton ball eating the mixture as fast as they can.

Then they run back to the nest and die.

And being the little cannibals that they are,

the other ants eat them and the poison kills them too.

There are only a few ants around the cotton ball right now.

Hopefully they will die faster than last time.

I also read that you can mix the Borax with jelly,

put it on stiff paper or cardboard and they eat it even faster.

Next time I will try that.

Are they soldier ants that eat everything in their path?

Theme Thursday for January 3, 2013 - AGAIN

AGAIN!!

This weeks new theme is AGAIN!

Here we go again, we are starting a new year.

Out with the old, in with the new!

So with that thought, I was thinking that we could use this prompt

in two different ways.

One we could use the actual word "again" which should be easy,

or we could use an already used prompt from this past year again.

You choose which prompt you want to use "again".

But it does need to be used in a different way then last time.

You could use the same picture and write something different,

thereby doing it again.

So feel free to let me know what you think about this.

Hopefully this year everyone will write more comments.

Please, please, please, more comments please!

As to me being sick, yup it is another flu.

Others are starting to get it, same symptoms as me.

Sleeping all day, very weak, food going through your body within hours of eating,

bright lights causes eye pain, headaches and seeing double.

Thus looking at computer screen hurts like heck.

So please, please, forgive me about visiting your posts,

and the slow pace of which I am getting there.

Also if you know someone who gets this, cooked meals would really help, 

along with lots of sympathy.

Plus, I feel better because hubby has to admit I was not making up this illness.

I also would like to thank all of you who have sent get well wishes

and for all the patience you are using right now.

Okay, back to this coming Thursday,

I hope you will come back again

and share something again or a new again, your choice.
