CONFESSIONS
This weeks new theme is CONFESSIONS!
Oh how many confessions I would have if I were to confess.
But then it might be best if I kept my confessions to myself.
At least that is what I tell myself.
Confession is good for the soul they say,
and I think maybe they are right,
but I think it is best if I keep those
confessions between myself and the lord.
Then again, I don't know what it is about all of you,
and so I guess I will just have to confess.
I did it, I really did do it,
and the guilt is killing me.
I ate that last piece of chocolate cake,
and it was damn good.
There I confessed.
I hope you all feel better, I do.
Since those without that cake will never read this,
I can continue on with no punishment.
Oh yes, confession is good for the soul.
Do you have anything to confess?
Nothing deep, just something small you need to tell.
Come back on Thursday,
try it, and confess.
Trust me you will feel better,
ha ha ha ha!!!
Thanks again,
Mrsupole

One must always be careful what one writes on the internet. I hope no one confesses too much. ;)

Hi Joyce,
ReplyDeleteIf only all those people on Facebook had a clue about it being out there forever then maybe they would stop telling all their secrets. It never ceases to amaze me at what people post on FB. I think that is definitely a place for confessions about everything. I just cannot get into that site and have a hard time understanding it's appeal.
God bless.
I was raised Catholic, so confessing comes natural to me. I never bother to confess about eating the last bit of chocolate. Often I have chocolate that I never tell anyone else about!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the prompt, i tried to capture that moment when you realise that confession is the last resort to save yourself. Alan
ReplyDeleteYes, delicious composition with an exquisite combination of colors.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
I used to envy Catholics whose confession came with forgiveness and absolution. Then I met God who demanded I be free to find my way and to discover why. Periodically I confess what is taking me so long. Our relationship includes accountability, forgiveness, and an unwavering love which I sometimes lose sight of (and have to find and forgive myself again).
