Theme Thursday for November 22, 2012 - TOGETHER

TOGETHER

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!

We just want to let all of our readers

and those who come to play,

know that we are very thankful for you

coming to visit us each week.

You are very cool, and out of this world awesome!

This weeks new theme is TOGETHER!

Sometimes for some unknown reason a song will come into

my head when I see the new Theme written down.

So the song that has "Let's get together and

and everything will be alright!"

is going through my brain.

Just that one line, that's it.

It is as if the rest of the song is there but it won't come out.

Whew, I just switched to "Some where over the rainbow....."

At least I know a few more lines of that song.

But I am trying to think of some other "Together" songs.

Nope, none are coming to me, just the one.

But thank goodness I am thinking of getting together with family

for our Thanksgiving Celebration 

here in the U.S.

And I think it is okay for anyone who wants 

to be thankful about anything to get together.

It can be any day of the year

as long as you do it.

Does your country have a Thanksgiving celebration?

And if it does, what are you thankful for?

Is it a family celebration?

What do you have as a family meal?

Does it last for more than one day?

Togetherness is a wonderful thing 

as long as I get my own space.

I love to get together but then I also enjoy leaving.

There are so many different kinds of get togethers.

Theme Thursday for November 15, 2012 - POSSIBILITIES

This weeks new theme is Possibilities!

When you look at something, do you see lots of possibilities?

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't,

but for the most part I do.

I almost had the possibility to keep using food prompts,

only that seemed too easy.

But then again I was going to use the prompt of 

cookies,

which can possibly be food or a computer word.

Oh the enigma of some words.

I think I might just use cookies sometime soon

because lets face it,

more cookies will be made in the coming weeks

than almost the rest of the year combined.

I was also thinking that this prompt could have

many  endless possibilities.
It is all up to our imaginations!

And with that thought

I hope you will all come back this Thursday

to share some of your endless possibilities.

This weeks new theme is Soups!

What can I say, tis the season for soups!

Be it if you are experiencing Autumn or Spring,

it is Soup Time.

I think almost everyone has a favorite soup,

don't you?

Well I actually have more than one favorite.

As a child I do not think I had ever had homemade soup,

so as an adult I love homemade soups.

I almost hate to say this but my first experience with

soup not made in a can was while I was

in the Army.

Yup folks, I did not know that soup did not have

to come from a can.

I thought Campbell's was where soup came from.

And the Army actually had quite a lot of good cooks.

Let's say I did not starve while in there.

But then I got a cookbook.

I mean my mom had a cookbook.

It was just that we never thought to actually use it.

And I opened that cookbook,

and discovered so many things.

Soup was one of them.

Oh my, I must have over a hundred cookbooks now.

Lots of soup in them.

Theme Thursday for November 1, 2012 - Stormy

STORMY

This weeks new theme is Stormy!

I somehow think that with all the storms, earthquakes,

and all the other crap going on right now that Stormy fits!

Plus if you are a Giants fan then whoohoo to you!

And if you are a terrorist then crap be bestowed upon you

for all the cowardice you do in taking innocent lives.

 For the world looks down upon you

and

wonders why you feel you have to "force" your beliefs

upon those who choose to believe something else.

And this applies to so many beliefs,

To the husband who abuses his wife.

To the bullies who bully other children and adults.

To those who want to force their religion on others,

Also to those who want to force their nonreligious view upon others.

To those who destroy and end the lives of others

because they think they had an injustice committed against them.

And to those who think women are all about 

not being able to pay for their own birth control

and who want to control our choices.

I can pay for my own birth control,

thank you very much,

and make my own choices.

I can choose what I wish to believe

and

I have enough faith in myself to do the best I can.

I do not need to be told what to do,

what to believe,

what to say,

where to go.

I am free to make my own mistakes and choices.

I may not always make the right choices

but they are my choices.

And as I watch the stormy weather,

and 

the crazy people killing good, kind people,

I think that nature alone

will take enough lives without mankind helping.

Who the hell said mankind is superior to the other creatures on earth

is not so bright, for we are pretty much the same.

Think about that one for a while.

And as I storm away from my computer,

Santa Ana's have been blowing and as such

have been keeping our internet sporadic,

hence the stormy mood,

I hope you will come back on Thursday
