This weeks new theme is Cemeteries!

What can I say but this time of year requires something scary.

I also think it's been a long time since we've done cemeteries.

Have you ever lived by a cemetery?

Have you played in a cemetery?

Do cemeteries scare you like they do me?

Well let's just say they have since seeing

the movie Night of the Living Dead.

Before that movie I think I had no thoughts about 

them one way or another.

It was just a place for a funeral and to say "Goodbye"

to those who had died.

I have only been to a few cemeteries since that movie,

with lots of people around,

and with the cars nearby.
I'm such a chicken when it comes to cemeteries!

Theme Thursday for October 18, 2012 - Sunshine

SUNSHINE

Surrounded by mountains, love it when the sun shines!

This weeks new theme is Sunshine!

Sunshine on my shoulders.....
Okay I could not help thinking of that song,
I had to stop
or I would never write a thing.

Sunshine on my shoulders.....
Stop, stop it, stop, stop.....
Whew, Sunshine on my shoulders.....
Oh please stop thinking about that song.

Walking on sunshine, whoa.....
Oh no not another one.....

I cannot even think about who wrote these songs,
thank goodness,
I probably got the words wrong anyway.

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout,
down came the rain and washed the spider down.
Out came the sun and dried the water up,
so the itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.....

Blank brain, blank brain, blank brain.
Whew, now my brain is a prune,
or is it a dried plum.

Sunshine on my shoulders......
I give up.....

Theme Thursday for October 11, 2012 - ANGELS

ANGELS

This weeks new theme is Angels!

Do you believe in Angels?

Have you seen an Angel?

Has an Angel helped you in any way?

Have any Angels talked to you?

Maybe you have a friend who has had an Angel encounter.

Did you know that California has 

a whole city of Angels.

They call themselves Angelino's,

but with all the gangs and crimes in that city,

I doubt if there are too many real Angels.

But then again there are many who do help others.

I believe that Angels can come in all 

shapes and sizes, males or females,
young or old,

from this place or that place.

Some you recognize right away and others not so much.

But the one thing these Angels do 

is that they help others in unexpected ways
when that person is in need asking for help,
and other times when they may not know they need help.
Sometimes you know your Angel and other times you do not.

I hope you have encountered an Angel in your life

and that you will come back on Thursday

and share your story.

Theme Thursday for October 4, 2012 -FOUNDATION

FOUNDATION

This weeks new theme is Foundation!

Everything needs a foundation.
A beginning, maybe even an end.
Do we want an end, no way, no how,
but we will get one someday.

It is fall or spring depending on where you live,
or it is still summer where I live.
We seem to have pretty much only three seasons
and maybe only two.
We have very hot and warm,
and what we call cold is really
just a nice day in your neighborhood.

So if you are in fall or spring
then you are seeing the foundations
for all kinds of changes in your area.
Some areas are getting ready for winter,
other areas are getting ready for growing season.
Either way a foundation has been established.

So as I see another week with days over 100 degrees,
I hope you will all come back here this Thursday
and tell us some stories about
what foundations have been laid down in your
neck of the woods.
