Theme Thursday for August 2, 2012 - Confusion

CONFUSION

This weeks new theme is Confusion!

Sometimes we get confused and sometimes we are confusing.
Sometimes confusion is in front of us,
and other times we just think we see confusion.
But then again there are those who enjoy
totally confusing those around them,
and then those who want to escape the confusion.

Okay, so now that we are all
totally confused with all this confusion,
I hope you will come back on Thursday
and
tell us what confuses you
or what causes confusion within your life,
your brain, or writing.

And now I am totally confused with
all the confusion that I am confusing
myself with.

Yup, you know what is coming.....
a really big sigh!!!

    1. I know what you mean, sometimes I do not know if I should be coming or going, but I think if I lived where you live then I would just stay put. Although I am willing to stay put in CA, oh it is so confusing.

    5. I discovered a funny thing this morning - in summer 2010, about this time of year, I was confused enough to write a sonnet! I've added it to the same TT post, so now you will see two for the price of one - more confusion? Hehehe!

      See and it is still Wednesday here and it will probably be Friday there before Wednesday is over somewhere else, or maybe not or maybe it is just a second before it all changes again and why is it Wednesday here and Thursday there and why can it not be Wednesday everywhere and Thursday everywhere? Who decided where each day starts and each day ends and how do we know they are right and why are we left with believing them when we really have no idea that they are correct. See this is why my sleeping habits are so confused because they cannot figure out what time zone they want to be on. It is just so confusing for my brain.

  7. I have been meaning to come by for Theme Thursday to see what it is all about. This is my first week. Man, am I confused. Is this comment sufficient to express my confusion, or must I also sign Mr. Linky to make my confusion official? I see endless possibilities here. Or none.

  9. This Theme Had me listening to everything 1970. I do not know why. The Eclipse? The Moon Walk? The Vietnam War? The amazing songs? I was at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. It was my Freshman Year. I had not yet read Ivan Illich or Marshall McLuhan. Those were confusing times.

    Yes, those were totally confusing times. We had no internet, no PC's, but we had Disco. I still cannot figure out what Disco actually was, a truly confusing thing.

    It must have been fun at the University during those times.

    1. Like in the show Hair, actually--every thing with a passionate intensity--in those days there were no shades of grey. I miss that innocence, but love having connective thought tissue.

      Now Disco: I read some about that yesterday. Here's a thimble-full of a complex history: It was initially a reaction to the over-straight whiteness of rock, but its dominance only lasted through the mid-70s before reaction to black, Hispanic, and gay adherents of the form set in. I enjoyed disco to dance, but actually listened more to rock.
