Theme Thursday for May 24 - COMMUNITY

Street Art Festival, Richmond, VA
Three years ago, I was a relatively new blogger. Six months into this journey of online writing and had a handful of people that read what I was writing. Really they were leaving mercy comments for me. Ha. One of my readers stumbled upon Theme Thursday and invited me to come along with her the following week. That is one of the defining moments in my writing and blogging life.

I met some of the most amazing people, many of which are still blog friends of mine today and several of which I email on a regular basis to check in with on how life is going. Theme Thursday was were I built some pretty important relationships with people that actually cared about each other.

One of those people is Mrsupole, your regular host. Last week, she informed you that her mother had just passed away. Not an easy thing. My mother in law passed away a few years ago and it was hard for my wife and I. Still is at times.

Mrsupole asked me to step in and provide prompts for the next couple weeks and it honestly was not an easy decision to come back because I like remembering Theme Thursday for what it was. Any of these writing prompts is dependent on the people that participate---to make it something more than just something you throw a link into and try to get a couple cheap hits.

So this week, your prompt is COMMUNITY.

I will add the Linky Wednesday night at 8 pm EST. A little earlier than usual but I am on the right coast. Smiles. See you then. ~Brian
