Thursday, September 16, 2010 - REVEAL

Have we opened up Pandora's box here at Theme Thursday? Time will tell! This week's theme was chosen from our suggestion box and is courtesy of Jayne. What will your post reveal?

  1. Brian, I am so grateful that my spirit allowed me to create a blog for your Theme Thursday. It felt good.

  2. Sigh. Will someone please leave a comment and let me know if you can see the link box? The script is in the post but I don't see it.

It could be my office computer, however.

    Thanks.

  3. Pandora's pythos is clearly ajar... but thematic elements still rule the day.

    Happy TT, all!

  4. A revolution is impossible without a revolutionary situation; furthermore, not every revolutionary situation leads to revolution.

  5. Synchronicity?

It's been awhile and this fits.

    Cheers!

  10. Mine is up. It's a wee bit longer than what I usually share, but this one went where it wanted to... :)

  11. I'm having my doubts about this new TT format. Many people seem to be adding their names BEFORE they put up their posts. Then, I go to their blogs only to find the post not there. Meantime, since I've already gone to their blog, their names have changed color on this blog (when I selected them). So NOW I don't know which blogs contain TT posts I haven't yet seen and should re-visit. It's very confusing and I'm afraid it's going to result in less readership and fewer comments. But I suppose we shall see as time goes by.

    hope you like it!

  13. I've noticed that too, AngelMay...but i'm not sure it's that different from before as there always seemed to be a handful of people posting links to their blog as opposed to an actual post...

I have to admit that wasn't sure if I would like the "new" format; something about having a READY-SET-GO! mentality forced me (or so I thought!) to get down to business. Deadlines are useful that way sometimes. :)

But this week, I let an idea percolate and didn't publish until I was *ready*...there was no mad race to finish on time and rush things, so I think I see the value of the change. I like it. :)

PS - Sorry for the long comment! Just my two cents on the format change... :)

  14. We welcome ALL feedback on this new system. Long or short, good or bad. And again, we encourage everyone to please link directly to your TT post, for the reasons stated by Angel May, above.

Thanks for trying this out! Please keep letting us know your thoughts. If after a few weeks it looks like it's not going to work, we can always change back!

  15. I forgot to list myself again? What's that all about?

  16. Hoping that revealing a winning moment, and then revealing the source of that win, counts... ;-)

  17. just a bit more feedback....

i like to post for sepia saturday - but having to wait till midday Thursday (UK time) for the theme - and effectively till the evening because of work - leaves me a bit short of time for thinking, and posting, and being ready for saturday too.

posting the theme Weds. pm (US time) would be a help to me and possibly others chronologically ahead of the US?

  18. Ok, so I'm new at this and if I've screwed up somewhere I'm sure someone can gently point it out.

I like the theme this week. It's quite ambiguous.

  19. Point taken, Lettuce. I could change the blog from Eastern (US) time to something earlier. Shall we go GMT? :)

I have to confess I am liking this so far. Instead of running around like a chicken trying to read everything, I get to take my time and, well, READ everything!

  23. There wasn't really a rule that you had to read everything on thursday before, right? I guess I don't understand that arguement for the new setup. We all posted on the same day and then you had all week to read.
